Our Favourite Story Books About Love

Reading stories to your children is a wonderful way to spend time together, and it is a great way to introduce new concepts to children. Whether it is cuddled up on the sofa, in bed feeling safe and loved, or up and about and ready to learn about life, reading offers a natural space for daily connection with children.  It's always nice to have a collection of sweet and cuddly *love* books to refer to together and sharing stories together is a nice and easy way to add some extra bonding.

So, here are some of our favourite children's stories about love, shared with you this Valentine's Day.



Love Is

By Diane Adams

This beautifully illustrated book tells the heartwarming story of a little girl and a duckling, who both grow to understand what it means to care for each other as they learn that love is as much about letting go as it is about holding on. It is a wonderful story that teaches about love that can come back to you one day, and is not forgotten.



Guess How Much I Love You

By Sam McBratney

This charming story is about the Little and Big Nutbrown Hares' efforts to express their love for each other has become a firm family favourite in many homes. This lovely book is one that children will ask for time and again.
